Certified messaging supports two correspondents:

Transient Correspondent - Memory based Ledger
Persistent Correspondent - File based Ledger

The ledger file must reside on the same host computer as the program that uses it. Do not use network-mounted storage for ledger files.
Remember that certified message delivery protects against component or network failure. Placing ledger files across a network (for example, on a separate file server) introduces a new dependency on the network, leaving components vulnerable to network failures.

Hi

If we dont use network based ledgers and we want to operate in FT mode can we achieve this. As if there are two machines and ledgers are local to them and machine A goes down and Machine B take over then how it will make use of the ledger which resides with machine A Roll Eyes

Then that is not FT, they are two independent, and it wont allow you to configure too.
